This month's tip of the month is about sanitization. Throughout the course of the brew day and post-brew day operations, we clean and sanitize objects, only to touch them and possibly re-contaminate them. One simple way to give your beer just an extra shot at being clean is to "invest" in a spray bottle filled with a fast acting sanitizer like Star San. Just mix up some of your sanitzer in the bottle and suddenly you've got mobile sanitizer. Spray off your keg fittings before putting your lines on them. Give that stopper an extra spray before you put it on. Give yourself that extra feeling of assurance that you've done your job sanitizing right up to the time you really need it. It is cheap, easy, and could save your brew!
