We have a winner! James Golovich of Mid Columbia Zymurgy Association took the 1st place score with his American Pale Ale winning a custom etched growler from Click Distributing and The Powerhouse. With a very close tie for 2nd place was Jim Brischke and Carey Peltz, and fourth was a pale ale from Elysian, Loser Pale. Congratulations to all!
We had a good showing of homebrewers, new homebrewers and non brewers alike.. The food and refreshment was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Jake Rich, restauraunt manager and his staff. Some special beers came out after the main event. The Brass Monk, a beglian strong ale, and Tim Patty's 3 year old barrel aged barleywine. Fantastic!
As a group, we collectively voted on the next style of beer for the next event; Porter, more specifically, Robust Porter. The date for the next event is not yet set, but the target is late October. Let your club members know and bring out those porters.
Thanks again to Tim Patty and Jake Rich of The Powerhouse, Mick Wilcox of Click Distributing and all the brewers from the Washington homebrewing clubs who entered their great beers.
More information to follow shortly regarding the next evert; Robust Porter.
