The following areas have been identified as potential projects for the WAHA to work on (these projects are still in the definition phase, when more details are available we will publish them on the site):
· Centralized Washington Homebrewing Website
· One step access to find your local resources and information on how to get brewing and in touch with Washington’s homebrewing community
· Club Locator and Profile Program
· Information on all of the different clubs in the state and a characterization of their activities (to be updated by clubs)
· State-Wide Homebrewing / Club Event Calendar
· A central calendar where homebrewers and clubs from around the state can post homebrewing events, including regularly scheduled club meetings, in order to identify activities to participate in and prevent conflicts
· A forum for promoting dialogue amongst Washington homebrewers
· Competition Support
· Development of guidelines to help improve competitions in Washington
· Management of cross-club competitions organized by the WAHA
· Washington Homebrewing Mentoring Program
· Homebrewers around the state can volunteer to teach beginning or intermediate brewers in their area
· Educational Speaker Program
· Organized multi-club events aiming to bring a large crowd to hear an expert or guest speaker
· Washington Awards Program
· Bert Grant Award
· Recognition of the homebrewing excellence through a "best of show" of the "best of show" winners
· Washington Homebrewer of the Year
· Recognition of the homebrewer who scores the most points in sanctioned WAHA competitions
· Washington Homebrew Club of the Year
· Recognition of the brewing skills and contributions of Washington clubs
· Golden Mash Paddle
· Recognition of homebrewers who efforts help progress the Washington Homebrewing scene
· Legislative Action Coordination Program
· Coordination of the effort to reform our homebrewing laws to promote and nurture our hobby
· Judging Support Program
· Identification of BJCP judges willing to taste and evaluate local homebrewers’ beer
· Coordination of BJCP study group scheduling
· Representation of Washington judges and support for judging education classes
· Clinic Program
· Clinics oriented around improving homebrewing and judging
· National Homebrewing Conference Preparation
· Organization for the effort to bring the National Homebrewing Conference to Washington
· Event orchestration after landing the conference
